Cafe Design - Winston Hills
When it comes to cafe design and commercial fit outs, our team at RCK Design have the experience and expertise to get the job done. We recently worked closely with a client who wanted to turn an existing space into a stunning indoor/outdoor cafe in The Hills District.
Our job was to design and manage the entire commercial fit out project from concept to completion, including obtaining all necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
The New Cafe Design Journey
Our clients entrusted us with designing and managing the lodgment process for a new cafe in Winston Hills.
To start, we conducted a site survey and measured the existing building, previously a supermarket, which meant no Change of Use was needed. We collaborated closely with the owners, discussing the cafe layout and materials until after only a few weeks, we had a plan ready for their approval.
Their new cafe design included:

indoor and outdoor seating areas,

a fully equipped commercial kitchen,

front of house kitchen,

stunning tilt-up gas strut windows framing the front coffee machine bench

new bathrooms for customers and staff
-
and new bifold doors were included to open the front seating area to the front streetscape.
After a few weeks, we implemented some additional modifications to the plans and successfully obtained approval from the landlord. We were then ready to submit our application to Parramatta Council.
The Cafe Fit Out Approval was Granted
We successfully submitted our cafe design plans and documents to Parramatta Council, received approval, and moved on to the next step - obtaining the Construction Certificate.
These certificates can be more complex for cafes and commercial fit outs, but our team has experience in this area and had a great working relationship with the builders and certifier. Once approval was granted for the new cafe fitout, the builders began work on site and Hamik Luxury Homes did an outstanding job from start to finish.
Throughout the whole process our team had constant communication with the builders, certifiers and council to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. The cafe fit out was completed in a timely manner and without any major issues.
About The Cafe Design
The cafe design included an open floor plan, allowing natural light to flow throughout the space. The seating area was fitted out with timber tables and chairs, offering high and low seating options. The walls were given a fresh coat of crisp white paint to create a modern and airy atmosphere. with splashes of black metal trims around the windows and various feature pieces. The open & inviting front counter included a custom made glass display. Pendant lights, plants, and artwork were included to add colour and life to the space.
The front and rear kitchens were meticulously designed to facilitate seamless and efficient workflow.
The amazing June Cafe is now up and running. Nestled into the heart of Winston Hills NSW, this cafe captures a bright and contemporary vibe that has guests returning time and time again.
